When we exited the Heavenly Gondola at the Observation Deck, we were greeted by some spectacular views of Lake Tahoe. Click to see a full-screen panorama of the view from the Observation Deck.
Heading back down, we had a good view of the two Marriotts in the center, the Raley's grocery store on the left, and Harvey's & Harrah's casinos at Stateline on the right.
Back at the bottom, it was time for a well-deserved beer.
There are many miles of paved bike paths along sections of the Lake Tahoe shoreline...
...as well as through the woods surrounding the Lake.
We took a break from pedaling to admire the view...
...and could see across the lake back to the area of high-rise buildings where we started.
