The long uphill hike to the remote Angora Lakes Resort probably explains why people enjoy their "famous lemonade" so much. They have a few rental cabins here, which are booked-up a year in advance. |
After enjoying another view of Lake Tahoe's beautiful Emerald Bay, we decided it was time to see some sights in the surrounding area. |

Northwest of the lake is Squaw Valley, home of the 1960 Winter Olympic Games. |
We enjoyed a nice lunch in the old Olympic Village. |

In Reno, Nevada we visted the Truckee River Walk. Ann enjoyed watching the ducks in the river.

Each duck seemed to have its favorite rock for grooming.
|
|
|
We wondered who kept all the potted flowers watered, because we didn't see any sprinkler system.
|
After one last look at the river, it was time to head home.
