For our first trip in our brand new RV, we visited the Central Coast wine region of Paso Robles, CA for a few days of winetasting. Because we are members of the Harvest Hosts organization, we were able to camp for free at various wineries.
The Tasting Room was huge, with three separate bars, and a gift shop area. The shocking surprise was that all tasting is free, and you can try anything that they make! They are famous for their Zinfandels, which is not one of our favorite varietals, but they make several different styles, and we liked one of theirs. Chris, who was pouring for us, was very friendly and knowledgeable.
The RV camping area was in the overflow parking lot (a dirt field) across the street from the Tobin James Tasting Room.
These three photos show our RV parked in the RV camping area.
This is the view from our kitchen window, a lightly forested slope.
And the view from our front window.
And the view from our living room window.
Here's Cooper enjoying the view (and fresh air) from our bedroom window.
