The Azul restaurant at the Marriott Ihilani hotel had a somewhat unusual, but excellent, champagne brunch. It was part buffet, and part order-from-the-menu. At first we were disappointed to discover that there were not any traditional breakfast foods (e.g. no bacon, sausage, eggs, omelets, etc). But all the food was extremely tasty. After having our fill from the various buffet stations, we enjoyed the Lobster Benedict from the menu. Click here for the complete menu.

The Salad Bar included such unique items as toasted almonds, mango croutons, corn sprouts, and macadamia dressing.

The Flatbreads station contained Crostini, Ciabatta, Focaccia, pesto, hummis, tapenade, etc. The same table also had smoked salmon and fruit.
|
The Raw Bar had oysters, mussels, shrimp, crab legs, and an assortment of cocktail sauces.

The Antipasti station had wonderful grilled marinated vegetables, such as peppers, eggplant, mushroom, & asparagus, along with prociutto, salami and ham.
|
The Bread station had croissants, pastries & muffins, as well as fruit and yogurts.

|
The Dessert station had Tiramisu, Creme Brulee, Crumb Cake, Fruit Tarts, and fresh Berry Jellies.

And the finishing touch was the Chocolate Fountain, with assorted fruits and breads for dipping.
