For the last night of our trip, we stopped at Sagebrush Annie's Winery (another member of the Harvest Host network) in the tiny town of Ventucopa (population 92) tucked away in the mountains about an hour north of Ojai. The owners Larry and Karina Hogan were very charming hosts, and we had a great time sampling their wines. They focus on red wines, especially Cabernets, which is right up our alley! Their wines typically have several yesrs of barrel-aging, followed by several more years of bottle-aging (the vintages we tasted were 5-9 years old), resulting in very rich & complex flavors.
These next few photos show the RV camping area at Sagebrush Annie's, situated beside the vineyards, behind the Tasting Room, with a lovely view of the mountains.
And these three photos show the view we enjoyed from the various windows of the RV while camped at Sagebrush Annie's Winery.
The next morning, Ann & Cooper enjoyed the view out the RV windshield.
By the end of the trip, Cooper was really getting the hang of RVing.
