The Casa Ybel Resort has a bicycle rental shop on the premises, so we rented a couple of bikes and headed out to explore Sanibel Island.

The J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge is recognized as one of the top places in the country for bird and wildlife watching.

| The park contains two Observation Towers with telescopes for spotting birds and wildlife.

This large alligator was laying at the edge of one of the bike paths in the park, and didn't care to move when we came by.
