A low wall at the John F. Kennedy Gravesite has enscriptions of some of his speeches.

The government provides the standard white marble headstones, but in the older sections of Arlington, families could provide their own grave markers.

As we left the area of the JFK Gravesite, we came across this sign pointing towards the Tomb of the Unknowns.

We were fortunate to arrive at the Tomb of the Unknowns just as there was a Changing of the Guard ceremony.

We were even more fortunate to see a Changing of the Wreath. Here the Tomb Guard is removing the old wreath.

When one Guard saluted while the other Guard played Taps on the bugle, there wasn't a dry eye amongst us.

After the ceremony, the Tomb Guard resumes the 24 hour/day march in front of the tomb.

The Space Shuttle Challenger Memorial honors the crew members who died when Challenger exploded after launch in 1986.
