We took a bus out
to the Mendenhall Glacier, known as the only "drive up glacier."
In the lower right
corner you can see some of that beautiful "glacier blue" ice.
There were a lot
of icebergs floating in the water at the base of the glacier.
After seeing the glacier,
we stopped at the Alaskan Brewery and found them to be VERY generous with their
"tasting samples."
| We
weren't in any danger in this "balmy" weather. The snow was already
gone. |
After the brewery,
we took a taxi back into town and explored on foot.
Seaplanes, seaplanes
everywhere.
Well that's it
for Juneau--it's time to head back to the ship.
